One of the strongest signals the engines use in rankings is anchor text. If dozens of links point to a page with the right keywords, that page has a very good probability of ranking well for the targeted phrase in that anchor text. In the past, creating keyword rich anchor text used to be considered an effective strategy as long as they were on relevant sites. However, those days are long gone! Now, any keyword rich anchor text that you create on your own goes against Google’s guidelines. Google has drawn conclusions about user-behavior in search, realizing that searches prefer to see a variety of media formats for a given search query. You need to understand what keyword your target market use in order to find you. Have a brainstorm between you and your colleagues and come up with a list. Don’t just stop there though ask you customers, after all they are the ones looking for you!
Invest in Great Content
Have you ever visited a website that does not have a mobile version with your smartphone? A web page that looks super-tiny on a smartphone won't send your website visitors. Mobile users either immediately leave the site, or they cannot find your link because it is too small. When you incorporate real SEO into your website, you’ve made a conscious decision to plant a seed, nurture that seed, and help it grow over time. This long-term strategy and efforts produce high-quality results that continue to produce results year and year. Keep your sentences and paragraphs short, and break them up with line breaks (white space makes much for a much nicer reading experience on mobile) and subheadings 9 out of 10 people users make use of Search Engines to find an answer to their query. When these users type in their keywords/query, the Search Engine’s bots and spiders run their complex algorithms, scan through the giant database that has been crawled and indexed by them. They, then come up with results (websites) whose keywords matches with that of the query.
Blogging is a content style
Sometimes you might find broken links to your website. This may be the case if the location of your page changes or if another webmaster misspelled your link. In both cases, these backlinks will return a 404 error. If you've improved the crawling and indexing of your site using Google Webmasters Tools or other services, you're probably curious about
the traffic coming to your site. Web analytics programs like Google Analytics are a valuable source of insight for this. When it comes to getting your content to the top of the search rankings there’s a number of methods you can employ. But if there’s one constant that runs through them all then that would be the importance of keywords. A 301 redirect means that the move is permanent. If you need to change the URL of a page as it is shown in search engine results, then you should use a server-side 301 redirect.
Not all Yahoo searches lead to sales
When it comes to getting your website ranked highly then keywords are still an essential part of Google’s ranking algorithm, they are the very backbone of search engine (even Yahoo) after all. But keywords aren’t what they might always appear to be. Content is an On-Page Factor. This means that you can optimize your content by optimizing your On-Site and On-Page factors and making sure you setup your site the right way for Search Engine Optimization before you get started. If you focus on building links that send real visitors to your website, you will soon find out that it does not matter if a link is nofollow or not. Building links that way will let to more targeted website traffic, and it will increase your web page rankings on search engine rankings. We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "When Google demotes your page for duplicate content practices, and there’s nothing left in the way of unique content to continue ranking you for – your web pages will mostly be ignored by Google."
Generalized or broad keywords or short tail keywords
The truth is that you can get bad links every day. Your competitors don’t want your website to rank well. They can plan a negative SEO attack, sending a lot of spammy links to your website. By keeping the site’s underlying code clean and up-to-date, developing a stable site architecture, and maintaining excellent file and resource management practices, you can help guarantee quick-loading webpages for your site’s visitors. Visiting a website and sticking in your credit card details in return for thousands of links remains an option but presents a greater risk than ever before. Good SEO involves creating valuable content, but they are not synonyms. Many companies that have an amazing content strategy don't have always have the technical and linking aspects of SEO taken care of as well.
