If you want your content to stand out from the glut of online content and attract the kind of shares and links that boost search rankings, you’ve got to create epic content or “10X Content”. Most of the content that ranks in the top 10 of Google is over 2000 words in length, so you need to create long-form content. Many marketers are so focused on building out site hierarchy, wireframing and design of the site that they lose site of content development. SEO is a huge part of content development, but when content becomes an afterthought during web redesign, and the focus is on getting the new site live ASAP, often times marketers will put the content together without deliberate thought to keyword inclusion and smart SEO content strategies. Links have always been a valuable aspect of an SEOs strategy, and many SEO agencies focus on building relevant links to get first page search results on Google. If anyone guarantees you page 1 ranking on Google within a three-month timespan, run for the hills. A key lesson to apply to pretty much every aspect of SEO, is not to get carried away when you find ideas that work. For example, just because quality is key, that doesn’t mean that you need to disavow every low quality link and only ever build links from the top sites.

Now's the time for any local business to raise its game. In order to get the most success with search engines, you need to speak their language. Weave them throughout the text in a natural way and use variations just to cover the entire basis. Short paragraphs: Write short paragraphs, preferably 3-4 sentences at most. Breaking down your content into short paragraphs makes it more digestible for your readers. The higher the organic search traffic the better, as more traffic means more people reading your blog post. A guest post on a website with traffic is similar to being featured in a newspaper, the larger the newspaper the more people will hear about what you have to say.
